Easter Week, part 2

As I mentioned in my blog yesterday, “The Events of Holy Week”, I am going to add to the specified day the events that took place on that day.

Please go back and read the full blog on The Holy Week before reading on to today’s post on HOLY MONDAY.

Late Sunday evening, which would’ve been Palm Sunday, Jesus and his disciples went to Bethany for the rest of the night. Then early Monday morning, which is called Holy Monday, Jesus and his disciples returned to Jerusalem.

This trip to Jerusalem is when Jesus went into the temple and saw the corrupt money changers  The courts in the temple were full of these money changers. Jesus overturned the tables and stated they turned the temple into a den of thieves. You can read about this in LUKE 19:46.

The Bible account of Holy Monday is found in Matthew 21:12-22Mark 11:15-19Luke 19:45-48, and John 2:13-17. Read the Bible Story of the Cursed Fig Tree

As I mentioned in yesterday‘s blog post, I encouraged you to look up these scriptures and read about the holy week on your own. Therefore, I did not go into great detail of each day in yesterday‘s post. Every day this week I will post the meaning for that specific day. Since today is Monday this is about Holy Monday. Have a blessed day as you go and read about this. I pray the Lord shows you something new about it. We’ve all heard the Easter story our whole lives and what it means to some people and what it means to other people and what it should not mean. Our main focus is the fact that Jesus went to Calvary and died on that cross for our sins. And then he rose again on the third day, as promised.

Stay tuned for Tuesday’s post.
